Being a a great passer can take you a long way and really help your game. Just look at great point guards like Steve Nash and Tony Parker.
There a couple of basic passes that a player needs to know to be a good passer. The first is a chest pass. A good chest pass is thrown with 2 hands and will hit your teamate in his chest. remember to allways step in the direction of your pass.
The next pass is a bounce pass. this pass is thrown to your teamate and will also hit them around thier chest or a little lower. a good chest pass is thrown by letting the ball bounce about 2/3rds of the way to your attended reciever.
The final pass im going to mention is the over the head pass. this pass is used to skip the ball accross court and when a defender is in your face The pass is exactly what it sounds like. you just take both your hands raise the ball above your head and pass it to your teamate.

you can practice these three passes by just passing back and forth to your partner.
